A fun time at the cinema!
Aside a choice made with a particular character that wasn't for us, we really had a fun time at the cinema. Mrs C saw it a second time while I watched the World Cup semi final 😩. Anyway, while imperfect, the writing of COML treats its audience with respect. It's a Romcom to its core and the filmmakers understands this. Rarely in Nollywood, do we have well-written visual gags, and yet, COML has a couple that have stuck with me weeks after seeing it. It's also beautifully shot, with some positively unfamiliar performances from familiar faces.
COML brings so many new and positive to the barren genre that is Nollywood RomCom. And for us, it eclipses Isoken as the best RomCom Nollywood has offered.
